Doing this project helped me learn something important about bottled water that I want to share, and that is the fact that bottled water isn't just a big waste of plastic, but it is also a big waste of water!
I'm probably not the only one who has had the experience of attending some kind of get-together where bottled water is being offered, and then once the get-together is over, there are plastic bottles everywhere, and they all have different amounts of water still inside of them. (Some may only have a sip of water left and others may only have a sip missing.)
So many of the water bottles that I found on the ground still had water in them, that I had to take the time to open them and pour out any leftover water, because if I didn't, the ounces would quickly turn to pounds, and the pounds would quickly add up to make lugging around all of these discarded bottles around some serious back-breaking work!
Water is life, and plastic is harmful to life. So consider drinking more water, but also consider getting yourself a good quality water filter so you can drink the cleanest water and avoid countless throw-away plastic bottles in the future.
