Doing this project made me realize something important about bottled water, and that is the fact that bottled water isn't just a big waste of plastic, but it is also a big waste of water!

So many of the water bottles that I found on the ground still had some water in them that I had to take the time to open them and pour out any leftover water, because if I didn't, the ounces would quickly turn to pounds, and the pounds would quickly add up to make lugging around all of these discarded water bottles some serious back-breaking work!

I'm probably not the only one who has had the experience of attending some kind of social get-together where bottled water was offered, and once the get-together was over there were several plastic bottles laying around that still had some water in them. (Some may have only had a sip of water left, while others may have only had a sip of water missing.)

Water is necessary for life, and plastic is harmful to life, so consider drinking more water, but also consider getting yourself a good quality water filter so you can drink clean water AND avoid a zillion countless throw-away plastic bottles in the future.
