This is an aerial photo of me inside of the "World's Largest Ashtray", which contains one million cigarette butts that I found littered throughout my city.

I picked up a million cigarette butts and made this giant ashtray to help raise awareness of the fact that cigarette butts are the most commonly littered item in the world.

BONUS

While picking up a million cigarette butts, I also picked up and saved any other litter that I stumbled across that was associated with smoking (like lighters and empty cigarette packs) because I wondered how much other smoking litter is getting thrown on the ground besides just cigarette butts.

In total, I ended up finding 65,962 pieces of additional smoking litter while doing this project, and I took the time to sort and photograph it all as well.
