HOLIDAY LITTER
HOLIDAY LITTER

A lot of the holidays have become so synonymous with over-eating, over-drinking, and over-spending, that I just hope that "Earth Day" will never fall into that trap and lose it's original and intended purpose.

Holiday celebrations can be quite destructive these days and can lead to a lot of madness...

The New Year usually starts with a BANG as people like to shoot fireworks (and even guns) into the air.

Some of the most dangerous times to be on the road is during certain holidays, due to the increase in drunk drivers.

The most common type of litter in this picture (as far as sheer numbers go) is actually something so small that you won't be able to see no matter how much you try to zoom in on it. One of the ways that people like to celebrate is by throwing "glitter" into the air. (I found an unused pack of glitter "confetti" on the ground and sprinkled it in this picture.) And as of writing this, it's still "legal" to throw "microplastics" all over the place, as long as it's a holiday, and as long as you call it "confetti".

A lot of people will eat so much for Thanksgiving that they will either have to lay down and take a nap or spend the rest of the day sitting Infront of a television, because they simply can't do anything else, and it should come as no surprise that a lot of people have heart attacks after eating these big holiday meals. (Remember, if you eat so much that it hurts, you have poisoned yourself, even if what you overate was wholesome.)

There is also a lot of irony in holidays. "Thanksgiving" is supposed to be about being thankful for what we have, yet the very next day is "Black Friday" when people will rush to stores and act as if they need more and more and more to be content.

If you want to do something for "Earth Day", why not celebrate life on Earth, and celebrate in a way that isn't harmful to life on Earth.
