A collection of some of the most outrageous examples of food waste that I have found littered on the ground.
When a revolutionary new invention comes along that makes life a lot easier and more convenient it is often referred to as "The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread".
And when a new invention comes along that is irresponsibly bad for the environment then I guess that it could be referred to as "The Worst Thing Since Individually Wrapped Sliced Bread".
I didn't even know that individually wrapped sliced bread was a thing, but I actually found one while picking up litter along the highway. (Still unopened and just laying on the road along with all the cigarette butts and other litter.)
Some people view individually wrapped food items like this as "convenience foods", and are even willing to pay a lot more for them. (I don't know what an individually wrapped slice of bead costs, but it's probably a safe bet that buying 20 of them would cost a lot more than buying a loaf of bread that contains 20 slices.)
But if everyone realized all of the inconveniences that this planet will face if we continue to use more and more single-use plastics every year, we would naturally lose our appetites whenever we see foods that come with a lot of unnecessary throw-away packaging, and we would instead start to crave foods that aren't so wasteful.
I WILL POST MORE PICTURES OF FOOD WASTE IN THE FUTURE
