We Are Living In The Age Of Information
WE ARE LIVING IN THE AGE OF INFORMATION
The truth about how unhealthy, unkind, and unsustainable it is to eat meat, dairy, and eggs is becoming far more well
known thanks to the internet, and below are the top 3 documentaries on YouTube that I would recommend to anyone
who isn't vegan yet.
WHY DO PEOPLE GO VEGAN?
There are 3 main reasons that people decide to be vegan and they are...
2. "The Environment"
3. "Animal Cruelty"
If you want to be vegan I encourage you to be vegan for all 3 of these reasons, because if you are only vegan for one of these reasons it will be difficult to stay vegan and to influence others to be vegan...
1. "Health" - You can find studies showing that virtually any diet out there has health benefits, so if you decide to go vegan for health reasons only it will only be a matter of time until you hear about a new diet trend that is supposed to be healthy and isn't vegan.
2. "The Environment" - Animal agriculture is responsible for so much of the environmenal destruction that is taking place in the world that to avoid losing business many companies in the industry are now trying to promote and market their products as being "environmentally friendly" and more sustainable so that those who are concerned about the environment won't feel guilty about eating non-vegan foods.
3. "Animal Cruelty" - If you are only vegan for "animal rights" you will probably give the people around you who aren't vegan the impression that vegans only care about animals. (Don't forget that humans are animals too.) And if you care about animals but not about your own health and your diet is mostly processed junkfoods like "Pepsi" and "Doritos" (which technically don't have meat, dairy, or eggs in them and could therefore be considsidered "vegan") you could give people who aren't vegan the impression that vegans are unhealthy. So if it is your desire to help end animal cruelty you should know that going vegan is the second most powerful thing that you can do, and the most powerful thing of all that you can do is to inspire others to go vegan as well.)
If you go vegan for any reason other than the big 3 it will not only be difficult to stay vegan but it will be difficult to even start. (For example, if the only reason you want to go vegan is because you have a 10 year High School reunion coming up in a few months and you want to lose 25 pounds for it you will view the diet as nothing more than a means to an end, and you will likely be telling yourself the whole time that as soon as the reunion is over you are going to go out and binge on non-vegan foods.)
So please go vegan for your health, for the environment, and for the animals, and it will not be as challenging to be vegan because you will have a different mindset, and if you need some extra motivation and you enjoy watching documentaries then please take the time to watch the following 3 documentaries below by clicking them...
